About Me

My photo
SamIam
I'm Sam. I was born in DC, and raised about 1/2 mile outside the city. Moved to Phoenix for a couple of years to finish college, then to Sunny So-Cal with my television-editing husband. I am a crusader for arts in public education, and I like to make things out of duct tape. I have been vegetarian for more than 25 years, and have run the gamut from vegan to ovo-lacto vegetarian. Currently, I am a dairy-free vegetarian, who sometimes uses eggs. I am not a huge fan of soy, but I do use it. Three creative, outspoken girls (who are also vegetarian) call me "Mama." I have been happily married to the love of my life since 1996. In fact, sometimes, we're downright giddy. Luckily for us, we live in the Los Angeles area, where vegetarian choices abound. Sadly, I live very far away from my large extended family, but I am fortunate to have made lots of friends here. And, when I am missing my family, I can visit with them online. I love to feed people.
